    My Xyl and me

In 1988 I decided to become an OM. In Oberwesel I took an intensive course which took four weeks. With the help of my wife Anna, I managed to get my license (without CW) on 08/23/1990. My callsign was DG3WI at that time. I also joined OV-K21 in Alzey.

A weekend on the MS/Rudolf Diesel at Seenheim/Mosel

Now I decided to learn CW. OM Bernd (DL3FAF) offered in fall 1992 a course in Eltville, where I had the chance to learn CW - but I thought I would never make it. Finally I failed the test. But this didn't discouraged me and I took part in the next course in Eltville. In May 1994 was the next test and this time I tought that I would not fail again - and I was right.

    Summer festival at K33 OV-Nierstein-Oppenheim

In end of 1994 I joined OV-K33 Nierstein-Oppenheim, which was nearer to my hometown Bodenheim. Since 2004 I am a Member of OV-K56 Bodenheim.
